Create 365 - Day 137

A wee Cthulhu! Aww, isn't he just a cutie? I actually meant to make him a bit bigger but I flubbed the measurements before I reprinted my mini pattern. I didn't notice until I had already started cutting and decided to just roll with it. I can always make a bigger one later. This one is about 7" tall with semi-poseable arms.

I still feel he needs a little something-something though. Aside from his wings which are drying on the table in front of him. Any suggestions?

Create 365 - Day 136

Yum!

Hmm, there seems to be a dozen or so cookies missing. Wonder how that could have happened *wipes crumbs and chocolate smudges off husband*. I admit I did have one or two. Or, six. In my defense though everyone that was going to come over today cancelled. I couldn't let the fresh out of the oven chocolately goodness go to waste now could I? Of course not. Urp.

Create 365 - Day 135

Look at that lazy panda, he's probably waving me over so I can get him some food. Better not say that out loud though because he'd probably kick my butt and then throw me into one of the thousand cursed pools...

If you don't know what I'm talking about, well, then you're probably not as into anime as I am. At least not the same kinds of anime (the silly kind). But, you can still enjoy the cute panda-ness!

Create 365 - Day 134

Lots of cleaning and straightening up today to make the place company worthy. I've got a few creative things bopping around my head getting a little crowded out by interview stressing. Nothing solidified yet though, so here is an origami peacock.

I'm starting to have quite the collection of origami! I leave them on the hubby's computer as little surprises. When a new one is made the last one gets moved to a shelf. I'll have to post a pic of the menagerie some time.

Create 365 - 131 to 133

Because of the giveaway I got a bit behind on 365 posts but not on creating!

This is Nyateshi, an angel cat who got the heavenly boot for his unseemly behavior towards females. Naughty Nyateshi! As you can see he even misplaced his halo.

I also finished up the second winners Nyanpire and made another for good measure.

If you don't know the anime, just search for Nyanpire. It's ridiculously cute.

Oh, did I not mention that if I got over 100 entries I'd make another Nyanpire? I guess it was just one of those things that came up in my brain but never made it past my finger tips. It just makes it that much more of a surprise, right? Right. So I had random.org chose a second winner, too! Yay!

Much thanks to everyone that entered and spread the word. We'll have to do this again sometime real soon. Leave a comment about what you'd maybe like to see in the next giveaway. I'm always happy to hear suggestions.

Create 365 - Day 130

Not my prettiest dessert but, as the picture illustrates, it is tasty! Only 3 slices left and not for long I assure you. Yum. I put it in the fridge too soon though. Good thing it's disappearing so fast or we'd have to worry about a soggy crust. Damn you, condensation!

On another note, I saw Iron Man 3 today. It is most definitely a fun movie, I enjoyed it. And, I have just been informed we will be seeing Star Trek tomorrow. *Fangirl squee* I better get myself off to bed so I can fully pay attention. We're going to the IMAX for this one. Oh, yes.

Create 365 - Day 119 to 129

Where have I been? In a land far, far away. No, not really. I had a job interview and guests which combined to throw me off my (creative) game for a hot minute. But, I'm back on track and I have a stack of pretties to prove it!

There are nine reversible headbands on the left and two fabric origami on the right. I have three new fabric combos for the headbands but you're just going to have to wait for the individual pics to see them. The rest are remakes of sold out combos, and just as spooky cute, of course.

As for the fabric origami, they are folded just as if it were paper. No stitches! I love how they turned out.

Well, it's finally time for some shut eye. I need my rest since I've got a cheesecake to bake tomorrow and I might possibly be seeing Star Trek at the IMAX (squee!).

Create 365 - Day 118

Today I stitched up a anime Nyanpire!

I did a reverse applique on the ears and the wings are made of glittered felt for a little contrast on this all black sweetie. Everything is hand stitched, of course. Isn't he just the cutest with his big round blood-lusting eyes?

Create 365 - Day 117

After a migraine dodging nap, I got in some gardening and straightened up half the garage. Four of my dahlia plants are sprouting! The one that will be the tallest, Amorous, was the first to come up. Hopefully the other two will start coming up soon. I can't wait to see them blooming but it'll still be awhile.

So in the theme of May flowers I folded an origami hummingbird.

Create 365 - Day 116

After a busy day of shopping, laundry and hanging with the hubby I find my brain is too stuffed with, well, stuff to work on more sewing today. I learned to make lucky stars instead!

The smallest (and best so far) one is the tiniest at about 3/8". There's a great post here with diagram and video if you want to make your own.

Oddly enough I've never made these before. Now that I know how I can see this getting addictive with any and all scraps of paper that might be lying about. Hopefully I'll get back in the stitch of things tomorrow. I've got work to do!

Create 365 - Day 115

Tonight was a chili night so I made cornbread to go with it. With my edible contribution done I then stitched up this little cutie...

Another Night Owl! I'll hopefully have better pics soon. The color is not quite right, the dark red is heathered with black, and there too much flash but you get the idea. I still need to embroider the chest feathers but I think I'll do that tomorrow. I am sleepy!

I might even keep this one for myself. xx ~Static

Create 365 - Day 113 & 114

Day 113 - Nothing terribly exciting today except a cute tiny terrier origami...

Day 114 - Holy wow, I made bread from scratch dough for the first time! It's tasty too, if I do say so myself. I am very happy about this. Here is the bread...

You may notice the end is missing there. Well, I did have to test it, to make sure it was palatable, of course. It might have lost another slice after the picture too. Teehee.

Anywho, here is the recipe I used. I am so thankful for this guys step by step instructions! The only thing I did different is that when it came out of the oven the crust was a tad too hard for my liking. Not knowing what to do about it, I wrapped the bread in a towel to cool and keep any stray cat fur/dust away, and guess what? Wrapping it in the towel, and the bread's own steam, softened it. Hurray! And, delicious. I also added a touch of butter before it cooled completely.
